Fiona Christie Counselling
Do you need help working through challenges in your life, like health, work, parenting, relationship issues, or trauma? Struggling with the emotional impact of dealing with physical health problems and invisible illness? Need some time and space to explore current or past trauma? I am an empathic, warm, experienced counsellor. I offer a safe, understanding space without judgement, where we look at what is going on for you and what positive changes you want to make.
I can work with a wide range of issues, on a short or long term basis. I can work face to face, online or over the phone. I am available from 10.30-14.30 on weekdays and my fees are £45-£55 a session.
I work in a person centred way, which means we work at your pace on the issues you want to bring. I won't tell you what to do because I consider you to be the expert on yourself as an individual, but I will help you to work out the right strategies and ways forward for you. I am able to draw on the depth and breadth of my experience to find a smooth journey through therapy for you, using many different techniques. I decided to train in person centred counselling after it helped me tremendously during a period of crisis in my own life many years ago.
I offer face to face work from a counselling room in Roundhay, Leeds at the Brackenwood Community Association, The Highwood Building, Brackenwood Drive, Leeds, LS8 1RG. There is unfortunately a flight of stairs to this room, but please let me know if this would be a problem so that we can arrange something that is accessible for you.
I know how hard it can be to reach out for help and to approach a counsellor. I also believe in the importance of finding the right therapist for you. This means I offer a free initial 30 minute phone call, with no obligation, so you can see if it feels right for us to work together.
